You can play without giving us anything. This page says what we keep when you choose to give us more.
Who we are
Kaylum runs this site and decides how your data is used. Email hello@lplated.app with any question or request.
What we keep
Your account, if you make one: your email address and when you made it. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, or for as long as the law requires if you've paid.
A sign-in code request: your email address and a scrambled copy of the code, until you sign in or for up to two days.
Your progress: your answers, stars, the rules you've met and the days you played. With no account it stays on your device and doesn't reach us. With an account we keep a copy, so it follows you to other devices, until you ask us to delete your account.
Answers and plays are counted as totals, such as how many people picked each answer. They aren't linked to you.
Your email address, if you ask to hear about new roads, with the time you agreed and the words you agreed to. We keep it until you ask us to stop.
Payment records, if you buy. Stripe takes your card details and we never see them. We keep your email address, your subscription and each change to it, and the consent you gave. We keep these for six years, because the law requires it.
A scrambled version of your internet address, for a short time, to stop people flooding the site. We can't turn it back into the address.
Why we can use it
Your email address for updates rests on your consent. Your account, its progress and payment records rest on our contract with you and on our legal duties. Scrambled addresses rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare hosts the site and sends our emails, Stripe takes payments, and Discord carries our own alerts, which can hold a Stripe reference but no name or address. They work for us under their terms. We don't sell your data.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only if you sign in. It keeps you signed in on this device, so it doesn't need consent. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold, and you can withdraw consent at any time, by emailing hello@lplated.app. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
